on the week on the 21st we only had one lesson as the rest of the week we were performing our presentations and had half of the week off. on this monday we were rehearsing our singing in different rooms where sam was filming how we were teaching our selves. as a group we warmed up our voices and sang the matilda song. we realised we needed to go over some parts of the song and make sure we understood the song completely. after we watched the video on youtube we sung along side the lyrics to make sure we got it correct. At the end of the lesson we performed this in-front of the class and took feedback. ours was to make sure we pronounce our words correctly.  my target is to be more angry to the lil kids instead of only putting 50% into doing it.

On the 14th of January we had one practical lesson and one on the 18th. On Monday we focused on singing aspects of our matilda song. this week we warmed up our voices by singing a couple of songs and then stretched our bodies as we were going to practice with the dance as well as singing. our warm up consisted of singing the scales to warm our voices up, if we didn't do this we could've potentially strained our voices or voice break on a note. After this we done she breathing exercises to control our breathing and lung capacity we done this whilst following the lead of our teacher sam, after these singing exercises sam thought it would be best to go over there school song as a group before splitting into groups. we split up into our groups and rehearsed our song and dance, we repeatedly rehearsed it till we were familiar with it and then realised we had a lot of time left so learnt the second half or the song which was easy and a good idea as we were working as a group. MATILDA WEEK 1  At the start of this week i was introduced to the school song from Matilda, with this song i had to make sure i warmed up my voice up properly as the song could be quite quick with a lot of lyrics. This meant that we done mini mars bars warm up and a tongue twister. We also had to make sure we warmed up our body so we could produce a longer note which meant being able to control our breathing,  so to help this we done some breathing exercise where we inhaled for 8 counts and exhaled for 8 counts which slowed our breathing down to allow more air in our lungs. later on in the lesson we split up in groups and learnt the lyrics and then was assigned roles ( i was given a role to be a big kid) whilst we were rehearsing we made sure we knew the lyrics, projected our voices and sung at the right time. At the end of the lesson we performed it to the class to make sure we get more comfortable to perform it and for sam to give us feedback. During our Tuesday lesson...

so far whilst learning the song and dance for the cabaret i have managed to learn all my lyrics including the mc lines with all accents sounding okay, i have also managed to complete the dance from start to finish without making any timing mistakes or wrong moves. i feel like i need to work on getting in touch with my character and understand if i wanna be a sexy mc, weird, creepy or feminist i can figure out how i want to play my character by researching different ms's from different plays and see how they have been performed.

Whilst performing the nothing like a dame i rehearsed all the words and choreography to make sure when i was doing this piece it tan smoothly with all the correct timings which included picking up blocks on certain words and moving forward to create space to dance whilst someone was singing. however i wasn't confident enough and didn't project my voice enough to be able to play my character to my best ability

I feel that i performed seasons of love well as i knew the lyrics so i could sing without having the lyrics in-front of me. I also managed to sing this loud and clear using all my air which i learnt how to control in class. To be able to know the lyrics i decided to listen to the song and rehearse in my spare time. I also stayed after lesson to find out my pitch with sam. i believe that i needed to work on my pitch and confidence with in this song
